Priorities

It is possible to be a stay at home, homeschooling, homemaking mother and still not have your priorities right. It's about your heart. It's about your treasure. One sure way to tell if you have placed things in the right order is to check your joy.

Do you enjoy your life?
Are you thankful for what you have?
Can you laugh when your children laugh?

Or, do you give your children a bath to check it off the list? Get dinner on the table because if you don't everyone will grumble...read a book to your child out of obligation...etc.

Put things into perspective. This is the life you have to live...LIVE IT! To the very fullest possible.

As the weather has been warming up I've had so much fun going out with my children to play. (And nurse in the warm sunshine). It's shaken things up a little. Sometimes doing things outside of a routine gives you a fresh perspective.

Forget about the chores for just a little while.
They will be there when you get back.
Take some time for your children.
...just them.
Give them your full focus.
Then thank God for the life He's given you.
