You Tube Fun...

Type in "just for laughs gags". How much fun! You can't help but laugh. They have a hidden camera and do these setups for people and it's just too funny! Beware, there are so many good ones hours will disappear very quickly!!!

For my pregnant friends...

LOL!!

I just hope this makes your day.

First we have:

A Virtual Labor
Yep. Just to get you in the mood. Get you a little prepared for the action. Isn't that the funniest thing you've ever seen??

Then we have this:

Carrie The Caregiver
To remind you just how busy you will be in just a few short months. We won't go into the details of how sad it is that these poor little babies are run like machines in this fun little game. Nope. We're just working on your multi-tasking skills.

Enjoy!!

Oh, and a big huge Congratulations!

Mom's Humor Contest

Well, I know I'm a bit late here. I do have an excuse because of, well you know, the horrible Mouse Issue. But, I have to jump in on this. Bethany is hosting this Mom's Humor Contest and I just have to get involved. I love to hear the laughs that children give us! I know I don't post much on my children's funniness, but they are funny. Trust me. :-) I like to write those memories down as they come, but sometimes they slip away. Hopefully we'll be able to catch a few of them through Bethany's little contest.

So, here's mine.

My dogs name is Rocket. She is quite a Rocket too. She runs around really FAST! Anyway, my husband is the kidder around here and for some reason he began calling her "Roquito" in a Spanish tone. Don't ask. Anyway, so on to the really funny part. I don't have a CLUE where my little two year old girl got this - I mean no one has ever said this, but the other day when I was cooking & not able to come to see what she wanted, she began to call out to me as "Mom-ito". Yes, you just have to have the whole picture, she's in her diaper (well, potty training you know...) with cute little braided pigtales yelling loudly through the house with a Spanish accent "Moommeettooo". I think she realized how cute it was, because ever since then that's my new name. :0)

It makes me laugh every time I hear it!

So, do you have a funny children's stories to tell?
If so head on over to HERE. Even if you don't have a good one, go check out the others to have some laughs! :0)

Oh, and if we're not too late, she is giving a few books away for those who participte!
So, join in the fun!!

Signing out-
Sincerely,
"Mom-ito"

Who would have thought?

Well, apparently my 2 year old thinks this guy is the devil himself.

He sure doesn't look too bad to me. But, I have now become a mother who has imparted a tormenting fear into my poor daughters heart. She talked for hours afterword saying the words over and over"...chuck e, scared...chuck e scared" My young daughter will never be the same again. She is probably scarred for life. I did it out of ignorance. Honest. I had no idea the effect it would have on her. She was terrified.
And, now I guess I know.
Oh a brighter note, she did have a great birthday otherwise. Her grandparents (each of them, including great grandpa too!) came to give her gifts, eat cake, watch her run around with her brother and cousins from one game to a ride and all over the place. Proud parent here as I show off, um I mean brag, no...hmm..., TELL of my daughters ability to blow out her OWN candles, no help what so ever! uh huh! That's right. She also needed not a smidgen of help tearing the wrapping off of the gifts she got. Oh, except to give EVERY little piece she tore off to someone so that they could help keep the whole "show" tidy. That's my girl!
Overall, it was a BUSY day in the Lord. I am so thankful even still that we did celebrate on a Sunday because my inlaws (my daughters grandparents, yeah I know, duh) we're able to visit church where they are so much like family to everyone. It's worth it to me that we didn't get a whole lot of "rest" time today since they were able to fellowship for a little.
And, just for the record I am doing GREAT in my new habit so far.

The Book...

Sorry, I removed the post with the link to see the book I published. You can still take a look, but I decided to put a little block. I really want to show it off, because I'm so excited. SO, if you'd like to take a look at the book, please post a comment. If you'd like to remain anonymous, no problem. I won't post your comment. When you send your comment in, just let me know.

Oh, I forgot, please put your email in the post.
And, I won't post it here, just in case you are wondering. :-)

I am SO amazed that the book is done & I can't wait to give it to my grandpa!

Ahh, yes...it's just been one of those days...

So, anybody happen to know how to remove silly putty from an almost 2 year old girls' hair?

Uh huh, it's mushed in nice and good, a great big ol' blob of it.

Anyone had any experience by chance?

Update: YAY!! She fell asleep with it in her hair this afternoon, thankfully it didn't get too much worse. But, my husband came home with a big ol squeeze bottle of mayonaise, and it took the stuff right out! Hurray for mayonaise!!

Hobbies

When people would ask my husband, "what does your wife do."
He would sort of fumble around for an answer and say, "well, she likes to clean, um she likes to take care of the house. You know, that kind of stuff."

Oh boy.

When I found out he'd said this to a few people, I was a bit embarrassed. Because, after all, most women can work outside the home plus do the...um... cleaning and stuff.

"Doesn't sound like she's got a life."

Well, I don't. (big smile here : - D )

But, I love my life. This is it! I get to cherish those little ones that the others just see the picture of on their desks. I get to hug and love on them hourly. How's that for a life! I love it!! I get to (try my hardest) to make a HOME. It's awesome!

Well, even still. I do find myself engrossed in many different projects, that only recently have I gotten the revelation these ARE hobbies. Things like, Cooking, organizing, making my Home Management Journal (scheduling, etc.), developing my relationship with God, and yes B L O G G I N G. (that last one is fairly new) I even throw in there a few that could very well be considered a "true" hobby: drawing (not too good, but hey it's fun!), playing guitar.

TRUTH is, my life is my hobby. Doing the daily tasks takes a lot of time. Homeschooling alone takes a considerable amount of energy (not to mention time!), even when you try to make it easy. Making a good home cooked meal takes effort to do day after day. For me, even just getting us READY for the day can be challenging sometimes!

My aim is to make my home my hobby. This is where a real peace comes in life. When Mom fulfills her duty and role as a caretaker of her dwelling place and those that dwell within. So, yes, I'd say I do possibly have a few hobbies that I enjoy, but nothing is better than having your life be your hobby!

Publishing Books

Today I am working feverishly to get my grandpa's book published. I am doing an undercover work & I'm hoping to present it to him on his birthday which is Apr 14th. SO, needless to say, the beautiful house I once had is slowly getting worse & so are my children's attitudes. But, I AM making progress & it will be such a gift. (at least I'm hoping it will be!)

This is my first book I will have published & Lulu (http://lulu.com) makes it seem pretty easy. SO, I'm off to become a publishing wiz. :-D

Bon Voyage!

We're off to Mexico! Oh kay, we'll actually be going to San Diego, Catalina Island, THEN to Mexico!! Sound's exciting don't ya think? We'll be dropping off the kids first (I know, I'm VERY sad about this, but since it was a gift... and more than that, I'll explain here in a minute), then heading off for a week on a cruise. It's actually a celebration for my mom's 50th birthday. She gave US the gift of us going with her. Confusing I know. But, for some reason she didn't want kids. Well, it's an "adult" party with drinking and such. Of course as I've said to everyone I've talked to about this cruise, I'm hoping that the boat is big enough that we can get lost. :-D It's going to make it really tough because the phone calls are outrageously expensive, so we won't get to talk to our babies very much. But, they are with people we trust. So, they will be fine.

Anyway, I know I don't have too many who visit, but just in case you're wondering what happened to me. I'm off in the deep blue sea! Not drowning, but C R U I S I N G!!!!!

Catch ya later!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

I woke to a very beautiful sight thismorning! As I was in a deep sleep, all of my family came in & yelled "Happy Valentine's Day". I opened my eyes & saw my husband with my youngest in one of his arms and a baby blue heart guitar in the other. Oh My!! Of course, I don't really play guitar, but I guess I will soon. :-) My husband just got a new one & I've been joking with him about using it behind his back. Well, he must have gotten some kind of hint. Hey, it will be fun & bonding, if you know what I mean. Isn't he a sweetie. Yeah, well don't ask what I got for him. Actually, I have been in a coma for the past few days getting rid of this flu thing. So he still hasn't gotten anything yet. How I'm going to top that off, I have no clue! Anyway, here's a picture of my new guitar for you... Enjoy. Isn't she purdy? And, I don't mind if you drool just a little. But, you'd better not scratch it!! :-) Thanks for celebrating with me. Hope your Vday was beautiful too. Oh, and if you have any great vday ideas that are CHEAP (well, I've only got a little bit of cash to work with here), PLEASE, please, pretty please, give me some idea of what to do in this crisis moment. Thanks again!!
